#ProElitePro McLain Ward is one of the most decorated athletes in show jumping history. In 1990, at age 14, he became the youngest rider to win the United States Equestrian Federation’s Show Jumping Derby. By his mid twenties, he had already won over a million dollars in prize money.

In 2017, McLain won the Longines FEI World Cup Championship aboard HH Azur.

McLain is a five-time Olympian, including being a member of the gold medal United States teams in Athens 2004 and Beijing 2008 with his great partner, Sapphire. Aboard HH Azur, he was part of the United States team that claimed team silver at the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro. Most recently, he led the United States to a silver medal team finish in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics with Contagious.

McLain’s home base is in Brewster, NY where he lives with his wife, Lauren – and two daughters Lilly and Madison.
